Heya Chris, I am watching a ton of “Not Just Bikes” on YouTube and I think you would love the channel for your next occasional YouTube binge. He does a great job of talking about how city design is hugely important for our well-being. Since you’re building a community, I thought you would like to get the ideas in your head as you plan more of the lifeboat project. https://m.youtube.com/@NotJustBikes
When i worked on a job at the Tanana Valley fairgrounds, outside Fairbanks, helping to install a second floor mezzanine in the poultry show building, I got schooled by a guy from Montana on how to swing my hammer.
swing the hammer from the elbow, keep your wrist straight, the hammer becomes an extension of your forearm. He also used a hammer with a wood handle, which absorbs more of the shock instead of transferring it to your hand. He wore his hammer on a low slung tool belt, like a gun fighter.

What was the advice? "Let the tool do the work"?
I thought it was “choke up on the shaft for accuracy, engage your prostate for power”?
