I have covid too, again; diagnosed Saturday, 9/28 here in Anchorage—the only thing I got for my 60th birthday the day before; besides a day older and imperceptibly wiser.
This is my fourth positive, third time with symptoms, albeit always mild with no (known) lingering effects after fast recoveries. I was last vaccinated September 10, either a little too late or perhaps just barely in time to keep it mild.
At the clinic I was told that this latest strain is less dangerous but more communicable because, rather than tending to locate deep in the lungs, it prefers the upper respiratory tract. That sounds to me like evolutionary adaptation.
All that said, a couple years ago and well after vaccination became available, a cousin about my age and apparently in good physical condition and health, having conducted their own research, eschewed vaccination and is now the lucky recipient of a pair of transplanted lungs, along with a profoundly reduced quality and quantity of life due to immunosuppressive anti-rejection medications.

A clear case of covid “one-and-done.”
Get better soon
Get better Chris, we all love you and support you!!
Hi Chris, best wishes for a quick recovery from middle of nowhere France with a depressed husband.
Thanks, Kat. Hope things get better soon for you and your husband.
Covid is here to stay. Sorry for the reminder.
Take care and get well soon. You are missed. Please let me know if you received the book I sent.
What's the book called? Books arrive here all the time!
The book is called Unlearning How to Live.
You’ve inspired me. I took my five kids out of school, moved to a motorhome, and spent three years camping all over the country.
The book is part of decision, reason, and stories.
Thank you!
Hope you get better soon Chris.
Suja immunity shots during and post Covid help as does a little tynelol the first day or two
So sorry to hear that,
Right there with you. This one’s a doozy!
Been thinking of you Christ. Wishing the best and lending strength 🙏🏾
