I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I went to the jungle with peter and a small group back in 2009. He was a big personality. He smoked like a chimney, slept on the ground rather than a bed, and loved nothing more than entertaining the group with a wild, vivid story. I'd never met anyone like him.
Pretty cool dude I'd say. He was pretty clear on his view with regard to the "War on drugs" . An advocate of the potential of entheogens and indigenous medicine for medicinal , health, psychology and spiritual wellbeing.
I remember reading Ayahuasca In My Blood and admiring his intrepid dedication to adventure and exploration. He definitely lived and inspires me to do the same.

Great episode.
His blog is worth a visit: https://thegormanblog.blogspot.com/
I remember that episode and how I briefly considered it for the inclusion of the Talking Drugs anthology. Descanse en Paz
