Only three, that’s tough! To chime in, here are a couple of artists and their (point of entry) songs that I appreciated a lot the last couple of years.
Garrett T. Capps & NASA Country - “People are beautiful” (cowboy krautrock from San Antonio).
Balthazar - “Fever” and “Linger on” (soulful alt-pop from Belgium).
Odd Holiday - “Free Folk” (American/French hiphop duo combining jazz style sample collages with a boom bap style of lyrics.).
Billy Strings, Goose, Neal Francis, Zach Bryan, Tears for fears (making a comeback) I think there is plenty of new artists making good music. There are a lot of cover bands in my area that are doing good stuff. Dogs in a pile, Joe Russo’s almost dead.
I forgot to mention Daniel Romano. He has performs in two genres: country and rock. Both are excellent. Try Cobra Dreams for rock and Sleep Beneath the Willow for Country.
Frank Turner is amazing. I just saw him in Vietnam of all places. He’s playing massive shows in Australia and Japan after and he played to this small audience like it was a sold out Madison Square garden. True retention of an artist that plays with everything whether it’s a huge show or a tiny stage in Hanoi… “ I am disappeared” and “I Knew Prufrock Before He Got Famous” are great tunes.
Thanks for all the recommendations! The old school way of sharing music makes experiencing music more exciting. I'll add a few that I think will vibe with the Tangentialista frequency:
Surprise Chef - Band from Melbourne playing "Cinematic Soul". Funky and really tasty compositions. I really feal the cinematic aspect of it.
Dina Ögon - Funky soulful band from my homecountry Sweden.
Svaneborg Kardyb - Danish jazz/atmosphere duo. Nordic melodies and grooves on keys and drums.
Brainstory - Funk/soul trio. Retro vibe with lovely vocal harmonies.
Also, while I think the state of our current culture scene is ailed by a bit to much sequeling, music wise; sometimes a cover is just right, and it hits deeper than the original. Here's one of those from a while back from Jamie Cullum, a personal favourite. Amazing musicianship, (they learned the song and recorded it in under an hour):

The red clay strays are awesome, plenty of good country music I.e Ian noe, Tyler Childers, colter wall.
Seconding the above comment,
Father John Misty. Absolutely (favorite artist).
Nick Cave (been making music for a while but still relevant),
and Leon Bridges.
Father John Misty, IDLES, Kendrick Lamar, to a name a few faves
Ronan O'Snodaigh.
Also, discovered a genre called "Saharan desert blues" that is absolutely delicious to my ears.
Other than that, it's been a lot of individual songs from many different artists whose other music doesn't particularly move me.
Tinariwen, Ali Farke Toure, and check the Ry Cooder classic, "Talking Timbuktu."
