I listened to the last two episodes on a roll. I was going to leave a comment that I hope Allene would make a comeback soon because it was such an amazing conversation, and she sounded like such a wonderful person. At least we listeners managed to learn a little bit about her, and we all thank you for it.
This sounds like story of my parents who started building a house and were planning to move out of the city to the little village were my father grew up to enjoy their retirement. Long story short he got sick and couple years later past away. You're so right Chris, say it now because tomorrow might be too late...Thank you for all you doing!!
Wow. It's moments like this that shake me awake from the illusion I so often fall into that I'm guaranteed to wake. Thank you for sharing Chris. Very touching
I’d been excitedly listening to the podcast you had with Allene, taking notes on her book list and reflecting on connections and curiosities, then went right into this ROMA… I cried.
I’m so grateful for your candid conversation and was looking forward to a “Part 2.” I'll be thinking of her strength and action as I reside in southern Indiana, a librarian by degree, a housekeeper in the past/sometimes present, and always an insatiable wanderer in this skin, forever learning.
I proudly wear those t-shirts more than I should, and have gifted a few. RIP Bennet and RIP Allene.

Thank you for doing that. These unstructured Romas brings authenticity and small parts of your life. Thank you.
It seems like she was going after her dream in the end. Here’s to you Allene ❤️✌️
Bennett was such a good guy
