Loved the last 20 minutes of this. The chat about 20th century American literature was awesome. Some of the best stuff I have heard recently on any pod/interview.

I was wondering to ask you Chris what is your opinion on J.D. Salinger? Where would he rank in your list?

Finding the Mother Tree is a great book by Suzanne Simard. Have you read Psyche Unbound that is 20 something essays from Stanislav Grof on psychedelic therapy, breathwork and states of consciousness? It’s a great read on the research too.

Love this interview ! Now I am stuck watching you talk to Joe Rogan about locusts and running. I am a half hour in and have no choice but to binge all your episodes and read all your books. By the way, I am the one that got Vincenzo into Cormac. Nice job!

Honored. Luckily for you, I only published two books. Could be worse! Now I have to go read more Cormac.

Go big. Start with Blood Meridian. For laughs, read Child of God. Lester Ballard is funnier than Timothy Treadwell. By the way, that kid of mine is really going places. Best of all, after all the shit he took, he bore into to his style. Uncompromising. Now I have to get back to you talking about the Float Conference.

Now I feel I have to read McCarthy. Been wanting to read Blood Meridian since the guys at Very Bad Wizards did an episode on it.
