Bill first picked up a camera in 1965, at age 20, little knowing that photography would become his profession. Since then camera work has taken him to India, China, Australia, Japan, Mexico, Alaska, Egypt, Ireland, Bhutan, Zambia, Chilean Patagonia and the American West.
I've said before that Tangentially Speaking and Civilized to Death are what helped deconstruct and leave Mormonism. I had listened to Joe Rogan and other podcasts for years but they couldn't get me out. I think what's unique about this podcast is that it helped me deconstruct everything. It changed my fundamental values. It changed how I saw the Mormon church (a hierarchy that is excellent at extracting resources from everyone at the bottom and hoarding them at the top). And they'll tell you anything to keep you there working for them. They're just another corrupt arm of capitalism. I think I had to deconstruct civilization/capitalism (to the extent that's possible while still living in it) to then deconstruct other constructs that I was stuck in.
