Just downloaded the audiobook. I’ll listen while I walk with my 7 month old boy on the Salt Creek trail in the Chicago burbs. I just want to know how they handled all that baby piss and shit.
I really enjoyed this podcast. I live just a few miles from one of the trailheads on the PCT in Plumas Co. Calif. Have met dozens of thru hikers over the years. What an amazing journey! Wow~
Loved hearing this! Makes me sad to think about how independent we are as a culture, to think of a couple with a baby weird to be on an adventure together! I think it’s awesome they did this, can’t wait to read his book! Thank you for the podcast. Just hearing this makes me want to gather all my people together and be a community together.
Jack and Alana's trip reminded me of the journey many South Americans make each year across the treacherous Darien gap, between Panama and Colombia.
I've read tales of mothers covering the eyes of their little children so they don't see all the dead bodies floating over the swamps.
