Anya has produced and hosted her podcast for precisely five years, and she recently decided that was enough. We talk about the experience of letting go of a project that has brought so many wonderful people, so much intrigue and intelligence into one’s life. We talk about the natural trajectory from big ideas to small gestures, from global thinking to local acting.
Congratulations to Anya on a successful run on two podcasts and cheers (Chalk Hill Chardonnay) on new adventures. Much love to you for getting involved locally and building the things you want to build. I know you'll be a huge success and find lots of community, connection, and satisfaction.
Thanks for sharing the episode. I related so intensely to the experiences that Anya discussed on this episode that I was having a hard time focusing.
I’m a 28 year old male and I am going through similar experiences to those that Anya described. I have made many positive changes (diet, exercise, therapy, relationship work) that I hoped would catapult me into living a more authentic life, and yet I’m still living the same (sometimes painful) life that doesn’t feel like my own. Often times I feel farther than ever from living an authentic life despite large efforts put in to achieve that goal.
This feels a lot like world vomit to me but, I’m curious if there is some useful and relevant advice in Anya’s example or anyone else’s for that matter. Do I need to adjust my mindset and build more awareness around how much work is required to cultivate the skills I need to learn? Do I need to worry less about pushing harder and doing more, and instead learn to really listen to my body? What do those questions even mean?
Ultimately it just feels good to listen to and connect with someone else’s story of navigating through personal growth and hardship.
Hey Chris and Anya, thank you for the episode as always was a good notification for a new podcast on a Monday. Just started listening to this episode and thought I'd let you know that It helps to clean the top layer of soil and replace it with fresh stuff in your house plants to help with the gnats and try watering from the bottom up to dry out the top layer of soil so the eggs don't hatch. Hope your all good sending good wishes to you and all the listeners, thank you.
Best luck to Anya in all future endeavors.
