Joshua Wright grew up living in Africa and Asia. While still a kid, he became an environmentalist watching the timber industry clear-cut around his family home in Washington State. Recognizing the urgency of what was happening around him, he dropped out of high school at 14 years old to make Eden's Last Chance. In 2020, he sounded the alarm over old-growth logging in the Fairy Creek watershed on Vancouver Island helping to launch the Fairy Creek Blockade. Fairy Creek has become the largest act of civil disobedience in Canadian history. Since 2020 he has worked as a Forest Defender, fighting for the non-human world, and working to create community living within our natural environment.
