Hey guys. Halfway through the month seems like a good time to drop in and tell you about last month. I had a chance to fly to LA to visit my mom, as my sister was off on a cruise through northern Europe (financed by my very generous aunt). Well, what was supposed to be a three-day visit turned into ten days, cause Mom wasn’t feeling great the day before I was supposed to return, so I stayed til Beth got back. It was great to spend some quality time with her. I feel really lucky in the parent department (aside from the yellow teeth I inherited from somebody). If you order shirts, hoodies, beer coozies, signed books or any other schwag here, say hi to Julie. She loves to chat with friendly strangers!
Flew back to Crestone, then a few days later, jumped in Scarlett Jovannson and headed up to the Sex at Dawn Budokon retreat in Whitefish, Montana. If you listen to the podcast, you’ve heard me talking about it. We didn’t know quite what to expect, as this was only the second year we’d held this get-together. Last year was great, from what I’ve heard, as I spent much of it in a cold sweat in the van! This year, I was healthy and happy and super impressed by the group of people who came from as far away as Germany, Brazil and Alaska to meet each other and engage in some serious introspection. Lovely, lovely people. Buzzing from the success of this year, Cameron, Melayne, Anya and I resolved to do it all again next year. Stay tuned for more details, but the tentative dates are June 18-23, 2024. Hope to see you there.
We’re going to be reading The Music Lesson, by Victor Wooten for the next book club. Anybody can read the book, of course, but the Zoom conversation is reserved for supporters of the podcast. Haven’t set a date yet, but drop me a line if you’d like to join us, and I’ll add you to the WhatsApp group.
If you’re interested in what’s going on in Crestone, follow @thecrestoneconglomerate on Instagram for updates and Anya’s beautiful content.
Thanks for your precious attention. I truly do appreciate it.

Odd question, any chance the book group chats could be uploaded as a podcast episode? I live in Australia and there’s always a scheduling clash, but I’m still interested in the conversation.
How do I sign up for the book club/whatsapp? Would this be considered dropping you a line?
