Springtime at 8,000 feet is a windy, confused, messy adventure. You get beach weather on Thursday, a blizzard on Friday, dust storms all weekend and rainbows throughout. It’s a celestial freak-show, almost as unstable as our politics and economy these days. Remember the good old days, when all we had to worry about was environmental collapse? Innocent times when judges weren’t being arrested and the commander-in-chief of the world’s largest military wasn’t intent on invading Canada and re-opening Alcatraz. What the fuck is going on?
In any case, I’m still enjoying the process of bring you interesting conversations with very special people. I was particularly honored to have a chance to talk with Allene Evans about her life shortly before it ended. I knew she was dealing with serious health issues, but there was no indication when we spoke that she’d be gone just a couple of weeks later. Carpe diem, indeed.
Thank you for supporting this strange little project, whether your support manifests as attention, good vibes, or cold, hard cash. I appreciate them all.
