The fourth annual Budokon retreat will happen June 27th to July 2nd this year. We decided to rebrand it as “Becoming Uncivilized,” because calling it the “Sex at Dawn Retreat” gave some people the wrong idea. Every year, we meet up with a small group of extraordinary people at the Budokon compound, just outside Whitefish, Montana. The idea is to create a space where we can interact with each other on a much deeper, truer, more integrated level than most of us can find in our normal civilized lives, where bullshit, small talk, and trivialities overwhelm our capacities for authenticity. We create a comprehensive experience that includes guided group conversation, martial arts based on animal movements (developed and taught around the world by Cameron and Melayne Shane), Contact Improv (a psychology-informed dance-like interaction), excellent food (most of it local, much of it from the garden on site), visits to local lakes, dance parties. If this sounds like it might be up your alley, click on the link above to learn more. We hope you’ll consider joining us. If you have questions, feel free to reply to this email and we can talk about it.
