As the good Dr. Krippner just mentioned, we must learn to go with the flow. I must admit I’ve been trying to channel my inner River with the events of the past week.

Doctopher Ryan was mentioning armageddon smoke in the skies, my home town of Jasper may have been contributing to that. Plumes of black petrochemical clouds drifted eastward on the prevailing winds just days ago. Just 9 days ago a storm flashed lightning into a tinder dry forest of dead lodgepole pine which had succumbed from a pine beetle infestation in previous years. A ‘perfect Storm’ of High winds and extreme heat brought that fire through the townsite destroying approximately 30% of the residential homes. It sure feels like the end of times.

The fact that between 25 and 30000 folks evacuated without loss of life

in a five hour period is testament to planning and calm minds.

So…. after a week of this discombobulation I plan on being like a river.

Tacos with good friends tonight beside the mighty Fraser River at the base of Mt.Robson.

Those insect infestations are reminders that humans are not at the center of Nature and its manifstations. Once we realize that we can "go with the flow" instead of fighting it. Many of the recent climate change disasters are a reminder of what happens when we ignore Mother/Father Nature.
