A recent article in the Washington Post by Michelle Boorstein and Scott Clement carries this alarming headline: “Survey finds ‘classical fascist’ antisemitic views widespread in U.S.”
Wow. Things are worse than I thought. Who are these horrible people? Reading the article, I started to get the uneasy feeling that they might be talking about me!
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t consider myself to be anti-semitic, much less any kind of fascist — classic or not. (Some of my best friends are gay black Jews!) But when I looked at the list of “anti-Jewish stereotypes” on this shoddy survey, I found myself agreeing with at least a few of them.
